Therapy for Healthcare Professionals & High-Responsibility Roles

If you work in healthcare or carry significant responsibility in your role, you may be used to managing stress, pushing through exhaustion, and functioning under pressure—often at the expense of your own well-being.

I offer online therapy for healthcare professionals and others in high-responsibility roles who are feeling burned out, overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally depleted—and who want support that respects both their intelligence and the reality of their lives.

You’re Used to Holding It Together

Many of the clients I work with are:

  • Physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals

  • Helpers, caregivers, and leaders others rely on

  • High-achieving, capable, and outwardly “fine”

At the same time, you may be experiencing:

  • Burnout or chronic exhaustion

  • Anxiety that never fully shuts off

  • Emotional numbness or irritability

  • Guilt about slowing down or needing help

  • A sense that something has to change, but not knowing how

You’re not broken. Your nervous system may simply be overextended.

Why Therapy Can Feel Hard to Fit In,

or Hard to Trust

Healthcare professionals and high-responsibility roles often struggle to find therapy that feels genuinely helpful.

Common reasons include:

  • Limited time and unpredictable schedules

  • Being highly self-aware, but still stuck

  • Feeling pressure to “do therapy right”

  • Not wanting to rehash everything verbally

  • Worrying about being misunderstood or pathologized

Therapy here is not about fixing you or telling you to try harder. It’s about creating space for recovery, regulation, and meaningful change.

How I Work

I integrate EMDR, CBT, and DBT depending on your needs, goals, and readiness. Some clients benefit from structured tools; others need deeper nervous-system work. Many need both.

My approach is:

Collaborative and respectful

You’re not treated like a blank slate.

Trauma-informed

Without being overly clinical.

Direct, thoughtful, and paced

No rushing, no performative healing.

EMDR Therapy for Healthcare
& High-Pressure Roles

For many healthcare professionals, EMDR can be especially helpful when:

  • Stress or trauma feels stored in the body

  • Talking hasn’t been enough

  • Burnout is layered with moral distress or exposure

  • You’re tired of “managing” symptoms

If appropriate, we can explore EMDR as part of your work together.

All sessions are offered via secure telehealth, allowing therapy to fit into an already full life.

You can attend sessions:

  • From home

  • From a parked car during a break

  • From any private, comfortable space

I offer 30-, 60-, and 90-minute sessions and am licensed to provide online therapy in California, Florida, Arizona, Washington DC, and Virginia.

Next Steps

If you’re tired of holding everything together alone, therapy can be a place to set that weight down—even briefly.

A consultation allows us to talk through what you’re experiencing and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
